Victor H. Farwell, LCSW
Victor Farwell is an erudite and skilled behavioral clinician with 20 years of leadership experience in higher education administration, as well as over 30 years of professional experience in counseling and civic engagement.
Farwell started his career in higher education as the Assitant Director of Admissions and the Director of the Minority Service Center at Sangamon State University (now University of Illinois-Springfield). He then moved on to become the Assistant Dean of the College of Arts & Sciences at Washinton University in St. Louis. It is at this time that Farwell began to hone his expertise in counseling, leadership development, and academic advising skills. During the latter years of his tenure, he began to focus more heavily on providing psychotherapy services as a part time consultant. He soon realized that his passion to provide therapeutic support to youth and adults was having a great impact in the community. He founded Inner Frontiers Counseling LLC and began full time work as a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW).
Farwell has been providing cognitive behavioral therapy, utilizing constructivist theory, since the late '80's. He is one of the most respected and referred to clinicians in the metro area. He uses many additional approaches to meet the needs of his clients, including as a Reiki Energy practitioner, and he also provides spiritual guidance and support.
